An important step in the preparation of a customer solution is the curation of the source data into a well-structured information model to achieve an annotated data set for integration. This is a customer-specific instantiation of the conceptual model that is unique for Capish, the Capish Ontology.
The curation process consists of data mapping into common concepts, ensuring consistency, management of data quality and derivation of variables that should be commonly available in the application.
After completion of the curation process, data and associated metadata is available in XML documents, simple text documents that can be stored for posterity. These XML documents contain all data that will be available in a tailored Reflect application. Curated data from different contexts can be integrated across data sources.
The curation is facilitated by utilizing a proprietary tool developed by Capish, Capito. In the future, this tool will be available for clients or third-party consultants.
